New Arrivals at Cool Pencil Case!

With behind-the-scenes postings on our Facebook and Twitter, it's safe to say that the staff at Cool Pencil Case absolutely loves getting new arrivals. A good fifteen minutes of our work day is spent admiring our new, colorful school supplies, wishing we were still in elementary school. Here are a few of our favorite pencil cases this week.

Need an a-PEEL-ing pencil case? Look no further.

Our special friend Totoro can now be with us at all times at school.

With all the love Rilakkuma has been getting, it's time we share the sentiment

Mamegoma Erasers

What we believe to be one of San-X's cutest characters has finally made its way onto CoolPencilCase.com. Mamegoma, an adorable mini seal, is known to fit in the palm of a human hand. Although parts of our dreams have been crushed because Mamegoma isn't a real-life animal we can come home to every day, we at Cool Pencil Case have been somewhat comforted with these cute Mamegoma Costume Erasers that recently debuted in our store.

Eight little Mamegomas, all in a row.

Pink and blue penguins and dolphins, so cute!
Mamegoma as a Polar Bear? Mamegoma, you're so silly.

Dressed up as a walrus.

Mamegoma bringing you good luck as a Koi fish

Get ready to obey some Captain's orders.

Find these cute erasers at CoolPencilCase.com for $4.45. Enjoy free shipping in the United States and Canada with a $10 purchase and a $4.95 flat rate for international orders.

Image from curlsandpearls.com
Staying on trend is easy at CoolPencilCase.com. With hundreds of pencil cases to choose from, you can have a pencil case for each day to match your outfit and accessories. If you haven't noticed, the color block trend is a favorite at stores across the country. When you buy your next outfit, think stripes and bold, multi-toned colors. Now, when you buy your next pencil case, you can think the same.

Color Block Pencil Case
If you're a fan of the color block trend, the Color Block Pencil Case just hit CoolPencilCase.com last week. This pencil case is available in three color combinations, all in complementing colors in a stylish, simple design.

A Look Into the Cool Pencil Case Office

One of the best things about working at Cool Pencil Case is this beautiful office and photo studio we get to work in. It's cozy, organized, and is an open space for us to talk, joke around, and create business plans.

To the left is our photo studio. We've also got loads and loads of props on both sides to make our product shots more interesting. The most important part of our studio? The lights.

Here's a look at our prop section. These items are used to create layouts for our product shots. We love to collect everything. Yes, EVERYTHING. In those boxes are pens, pencils (of course), bubblegum, old ID cards, rocks, baby toys, etc.

Ahh, the workspace. Our employees have their own desks to work, work, eat, joke, and work. It's also easy to organize ourselves with the amount of cabinets and shelves. The subtle colors go really well with each other and keep us relaxed throughout the day.

There's nothing like a well-lit space to really get work done. The contemporary look continues on with unique dry erase boards and steel details.

What's your favorite part of our office?

Celebrating Earth Day at Cool Pencil Case!

At the end of the day, Earth Day shouldn't be celebrated just one day out of the year. We need to create habits as a whole to reduce our carbon footprint in the world! In celebration of Earth Day on Sunday, here are a few of Cool Pencil Cases' favorite eco-friendly tips.

Hello Kitty Moving Clip 0.5 Mechanical Pencils
1) Use a mechanical pencil

Save a tree! Instead of sharpening a piece of wood for a sharp point, adding a new piece of lead to a mechanical pencil will do the trick!

2) Bring your own bags to the grocery store

From college universities across the nation to promotions at the mall, reusable bags are all the rage -- for a good reason too. Keep a bag or two (or five) in the trunk of your car and use them while shopping. Sometimes grocery stores will pay you a couple of cents or donate to a charity for your act of goodwill!

3) Walk or bike more often!

Besides the fact that it's good for your health, walking or biking reduces traffic and cuts down on car emissions.

What are your favorite eco-friendly tips? Share your daily habits in the comments below!

Going a Little Bit More Green at Cool Pencil Case

Like many companies should, Cool Pencil Case started the new year off with a new way to package our orders to all of our special customers. Those of you who have received a package from Cool Pencil Case may have noticed the new packaging peanuts used to protect your items during shipping. These peanuts are biodegradable, meaning if you threw them away, they would self-decompose. The best part of this? It reduces waste at landfills, just one of many ways humans are unfortunately leaving their carbon footprint in the world.

Okay, we lied. The real BEST part of this is seeing the peanuts melt. If you dip them in water, they're reduced to nothing more than a liquid! Try it!

Cool Pencil Case Essentials: Marra

Our very own PR Coordinator, Marra, may be one of the luckiest gals ever. As someone who has grown up on Hello Kitty pencils and stationery, she says that there's nothing better than being around things that keep her work items a bit more interesting than everyone else's.

And really, it's not that hard when you're in an office full of amazing, new products every week. We asked her to show some of the essentials that keep her organized and productive every day. As expected, Cool Pencil Case products have kept even her plainest of essentials much more fun!

"The most important items in my bag are my iPad and my planner. My iPad keeps me connected with e-mails and helps me manage social media when I'm out and about. As for the planner, I'm one of the lucky ones. This planner hasn't been released on Cool Pencil Case's website yet, but I've had it for a month. Seeing huge lists of tasks under each day is more pleasant when there are colors."

"A lot of my personality show through my clothes, accessories and even my office supplies. If you can't tell, my favorite color is pink. I love little details, which is why I was so drawn to the Sentimental Circus mechanical pencil and its gold charm. Kinda like the perfect necklace to a cute outfit."

"Before I started using the Animal Sticky Notepads, I used plain sticky notes to bookmark important pages in my planner. It definitely didn't look as cute as the tiger, that's for sure."

"I don't know why I got this gray iPad cover case. I'm usually into brighter colors, so I felt it would only be appropriate to bring some life it with some Rilakkuma stickers. The strawberry sticker on the home button is a cute detail and doesn't affect the iPad on sleep mode when the cover is on like I thought it would."

Do your essentials match up to Marra's? Send us a couple of pics to support@coolpencilcase.com and we'll share your essentials on the Cool Pencil Case blog!

Cool Pencil Case Web Favorites: Paper Kawaii

PaperKawaii.com has been one of our recent favorites. The blog plays host to some of the cutest (and most intricate) origami projects Cool Pencil Case has seen in a while. As you know, we're all about creativity and creating special keepsakes by hand. Whether it's by creating amazing handmade cards, or in this case, origami paper craft, there's something about that extra effort into a simple gift from the heart that makes everyone smile.

Chrissy from Paper Kawaii used some of our Kawaii stickers to decorate some of her most recent projects. Our Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma Costume Change Stickers were great Springtime embellishments that really added a pop of color to her origami projects.

Against a solid color, the stickers made adorable decorations. This is a snapshot of her project done a month ago of an Origami Hexagonal Box.

To add to the Spring fun, a tutorial for a Spring Basket was featured a couple days ago. The Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma Costume change stickers include great Spring designs for your origami projects all season long. Check out the tutorial below!

PaperKawaii.com is definitely a website worth visiting! If you're in love with the outcome, but not too fond of hand/eye coordination, visit her Etsy store to see all the great things she's made now on sale for 50% off!

Ways to Win Cool Pencil Case's Easter Scavenger Hunt!

We're so excited to start our Easter Scavenger Hunt this week! Before the Easter bunnies and eggs come out in full swing on Sunday, you'll be doing some searching of your own on coolpencilcase.com. So here's the deal: the lovely ladies at the Cool Pencil Case office have chosen FOUR of our favorite Easter items. From April 4th to April 7th, one clue will be published each day on here on our blog, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or Pinterest (check last week's blog post for a list of all the links you'll need). After you've found out what our four favorite Easter items are based on our clues, you'll have until April 8 at 11:59 P.M. to submit your answers on the tab we'll post on Facebook.

We've been in a generous mood lately and we really want everyone to participate. That's why we're not giving away one, but THREE prize packs worth $40! These exclusive prize packs include a cute bunny pencil case that we carried just for this giveaway, as well as awesome mechanical pencils and pens!

We're sure we've got your attention ;) . Here are some more tips for you to win!

1) Work with Your Friends!
Three heads are better than one! After all -- there are three prize packs Cool Pencil Case wants to give away. How awesome would that be if you and your two closest friends all had cute, matching pencil cases?
